Registered Nurse Midwives (HPC/RN2)

The Western Regional Health Authority (a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health) is currently seeking to employ Registered Nurse Midwives. Reporting to the Public Health Nurse Level 4.

Core Functions

Conducting Antenatal, Child Health, Family Planning and Medical Clinics;
Assisting with postnatal clinics;
Collaborating with and making recommendations to relevant personnel and facilities regarding continuing care for clients;
Conducting home visits as required;
Collecting specimen for lab tests;
Monitoring and requesting supplies needed for client care.

Excellent bedside skills.

Qualification and Experience

Bachelor of Science/Diploma in Nursing from an accredited institution;
Certificate in Midwifery from an accredited institution;
Current registration with the Nursing Council of Jamaica.
