Pharmacist

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Pharmacist at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

Under the general direction of the Director, Pharmacy Services the successful candidate will be expected to carry out duties and functons of a Registered Pharmacist according to the Laws and Regulations covering the practice of pharmacy in Jamaica. Viz: The Pharmacy Act 1966, the Food and Drug Act 1964 and the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1948 and their regulations.

Qualifications

• BSc. Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Current registration with the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica
• At least one (1) year post-registration experience
• Hospital pharmacy experience would be an asset or familiarity with Hospital Pharmacy would be an asset
• Must be willing to work weekends, Public Holidays and on shift
• Possess excellent customer and communication skills.
