Position: Occupational Health and Safety Officer (GMG/SEG 1)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Medical Services Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Medical Director, Medical Services Branch, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of occupational safety and health systems within the Branch, ensuring alignment with international standards. S/he will review, evaluate and analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate and prevent disease or injury caused by chemical, physical and biological agents or ergonomic factors.

Education & Experience

• BSc. in Occupation Health and Safety;
• Four (4) years work experience in a similar capacity.
