Position: Director, Dental and Oral Services (HPC/DS4)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill the following position within the Medical Services Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

Job Purpose

The Director, Dental and Oral Services is a highly trained Specialist in the field of Dentistry and the Leader of the Dental Team at all MSB locations. The Director is competent by reason of his/her training and qualifications to undertake full responsibility for the clinical care of patients without supervision by any other person. The Director has equivalent responsibilities to the hospital based Dental Consultant with regard to programme management, team leadership and expert oral health advice and opinions as well as oral health promotional activities for all JCF members and their families.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medical Dentistry or its equivalent
• Postgraduate training in a Dental Specialty
• Six (6) years experience in the area of specialty or Board certification in a specialty.
