Pharmacist

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Pharmacist at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

Under the general direction of the Director - Pharmacy Services the successful candidate will bbe expected to carry out duties and functions of a Registered Phharmacist according to the Laws and Regulations covering the practice of pharmacy in Jamaica. Viz: The Pharmacy Act 1966, the Food and Drug Act 1964 and the Dangerous Drugs Act, 1948 and their regulations.

Qualifications & Attributes

• BSc. Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
• Current registration with the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica
• At leasst one (1) year post-registration experience.
• Hospital pharmacy experience would be an asset or familiarity with Hospital Pharmacy would be an asset.
• Must be willing to work on weekends, Public Holidays and on shift.
• Possess excellent customer and communication skills.
