Nurse

Applications are invited from suitable candidate to fill the position of Fulltime Nurse in the HR/Medical Department located at Ewarton Works and Port Esquivel locations, St. Catherine.

Requirements

• A Bachelors degree in Nursing or its equivalent
• At least five (5) years as a Registered Nurse/Midwife and working in a hospital setting (critical care and Accident & Emergency Nurse would be a distinct advantage).
• A valid license from the Nursing Council of Jamaica.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• A reliable motor car would be an asset.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be required to provide sessions on three shifts. Duties will include, but is not limited to:

• Supervising the operations of the Industrial Health Centre on shifts.
• Making decisions regarding the treatment and management of occupational emergencies, medical emergencies and illnesses.
• Arranging for and assisting with the medical examinations of employees (periodic medicals) and job applicants (pre-employment medicals).
