Pharmacist
A highly successful company with subsidiaries in Ocho Rios, Drax Hall and Kingston is seeking to recruit a Pharmacist for its pharmacy at Ocho Rios, St. Ann.
The ideal applicant will be required to perform the following core functions using the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or its equivalent;
- At least three (3) years proven experience as a Pharmacist;
- Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist;
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of dosage requirements and administration, chemical compounds and pharmaceutical brands;
- Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical procedures, processes and local Ministry of Health and International regulations;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- Fully computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and software applications used by pharmacies such as Pharmacy Works.
Responsibilities
The Pharmacist will assist customers by compounding and/or dispensing prescription medications; monitoring customers drug therapies to avoid interactions with other medications; providing pharmaceutical expertise to customers on the safe use of medications and providing pharmaceutical information to healthcare professionals as necessary.
